Nine month photos and a little bit sick

Aunt Melissa kept sweet Hannah as she turned nine months old this weekend while we celebrated Tanner's 360 months of life in Las Vegas.  Hannah again celebrated this milestone with photographs.  I may have gone a bit crazy buying photography packages on groupon and livingsocial during Hannah's first few months of life.  For Christmas, I gave one of the packages to Melissa so that Hannah could have pictures made with her favorite aunt.  Apparently Hannah found the photographer horrifying, but he did get some cute pictures.  I love that they were on her 9 month birthday and really captured where she is in her development right now.  I also thought the ones of Hannah and Melissa turned out great.

Hannah weighed 18 pounds, 15 ounces today at the doctor (where we might as well set up a weekly standing appointment based on the last several weeks).  Her little face was covered with a rash, we are not sure if she has a virus or is having a penicillin reaction (she is on day 10 of her antibiotics).  We were sent home and told to skip the last dose of antibiotics, try benadryl and come back if it gets any worse.  She looks especially pathetic in the picture below.  She is not acting too sick and only has a mild fever, but it still just breaks my heart.  We are so blessed that Hannah has not had any major health concerns so far.  I am sure you play the hand you are dealt and obviously we have no idea what the future holds, but as horrible as I feel for her when she has coughs, rashes and earaches, I cannot imagine having to watch my baby battle through life threatening surgeries or suffer through chronic pain.  I have so much respect and empathy for those parents who do.
